Haskell helped negotiate more than $12 million in economic incentives.
This 1.2-million-square-foot southwestern distribution facility marked Haskell’s tenth collaboration with Big Lots. The project utilized many Haskell services including master planning, architecture, engineering and fabrication. Haskell also aided with negotiation of more than $12 million in economic incentives due to project’s job-creating nature.
The facility’s layout is efficient and thoughtful.
For added efficiency, the architecture-engineering team designed the facility layout to support Big Lots’ material handling vendors. The facility, which also features a 45-foot-tall warehouse, contains a 1,000-foot-long, cantilevered tilt-up firewall dividing the facility into two, 600,000-square-foot buildings. The new center was completed quickly, taking just 12 months.
We created millions of square feet of high performance product management.
With more than 100 loading dock positions, the distribution center is designed to accommodate eight, four-level merchandise pick modules and an automated conveyor system with more than 35,000 linear feet of conveyor and a 51-door shipping sorter. The facility exterior incorporates more than 1.6 million square feet of heavy-duty asphalt paving to accommodate 1,000 trailer storage positions.
We’re proud Big Lots turns to Haskell time and again.
The Oklahoma distribution facility marked the tenth collaboration of Big Lots and Haskell. Combined, the projects add up to more than five million square feet of improvements. We’re proud to have created a facility to help Big Lots manage distribution with greater efficiency and just as proud of the long-term relationship we’ve built with the national retailer.
