A beverage powerhouse brand finds a trusted design-build partner.
The Pryor Gatorade Facility is the culmination of three major projects awarded to Haskell by Quaker Tropicana Gatorade (QTG), a division of PepsiCo, over a two-year period. The other two projects — Gatorade manufacturing and distribution facilities — are located in Wytheville, Virginia, and Tolleson, Arizona. Before construction was even complete on the first facility in Virginia, QTG came to Haskell with a desire to plan and design what would become the largest, most advanced and energy efficient Gatorade bottling plant in the world. Haskell delivered this goal to QTG not once, but twice.
We delivered world-record sustainability and widespread distribution efficiency.
This 1.5-million-square-foot project included 25,000 square feet of office, 300,000 square feet of process and packaging, and 1,175,000 square feet of distribution. Also included in the project scope were an onsite rail shed, guard house and wastewater treatment facility. In 2007, the Wytheville Gatorade Facility became the largest LEED® Gold Certified Food and Beverage Facility in the world. When the Pryor Gatorade Facility earned LEED Gold Certification, the 1,500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility set the new world record in 2008.
Our partnership with QTG grows as a result.
The Pryor Gatorade Facility achieved success at the highest levels on quality, safety, sustainability, customer service and profitability. In addition, the project allowed Haskell to set an industry record for sustainable design and construction. This project also solidified our relationship with the QTG organization, which has since created new opportunities for Haskell with QTG and throughout PepsiCo.
