L'Oreal Expansion Warehouse
Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi, Mexico

L'Oreal needed a partner to control the quality, timing and cost of major projects as they expanded to Mexico. They selected Haskell to design and manage construction of a warehouse expansion that could achieve LEED Silver Certification. Upon completion, L'Oreal brought more jobs to the surrounding community and increased their profit by reducing their transportation cost in the Latin America region.

Personal Care Feature Project
CONFIDENTIAL

In order to add new production lines to their existing manufacturing facility, a leading contact lens manufacturer required reconfiguration of manufacturing and storage footprints. They selected Haskell to provide loading dock analysis, warehouse sizing analysis, traffic flow analysis, project cost estimating and project budget estimating. Ultimately, the recommendation was to reconfigure the existing space to more closely align manufacturing and storage of products together. This left room for additional space to be constructed as the volume of business increased and additional manufacturing assets were required in the facility.

Fortune 50 Personal Care Products Manufacturer
Mariscala, Guanajuanto, Mexico

When a Personal Care Products manufacturer faced the task of adding a new three-ton shampoo skid and a new three-ton conditioner skid, there was much more at stake than simply process work. There would be additional needs — a building, product delivery and packaging systems, a 20,000-square-foot samples storehouse, raw materials mezzanine and component upgrades in ten additional lines. The skids, which would require over 20 raw materials and 12 utilities, would be tying into existing installations within an operating facility. With two successful partnerships on large building expansions in that region, they tapped Haskell for this critical product and process project at the vast Mariscala beauty care mega-site in Mexico. The entire project took eight months from start to finish, with construction beginning just two months after the initial kickoff meeting. It was a great success for the customer and for our Haskell process teams.

Household Goods Feature Project
CONFIDENTIAL

A consumer goods producer was out of manufacturing capacity and sold out of their products on a daily basis. With the help of the Haskell team, a new packaging line was added to include an empty container supply system (case erector, bag inserter, pail placer), empty container conveyor system, filling, filled container conveyor system, product code application, lid placement, decuffing, case sealing, palletizing, ending with pallet stretch wrapping. The building scope encompassed renovations to an existing attached warehouse space to convert it into pallet forming and finished goods storage. The project resulted in an increased output of finished product and a 33% increase to the workforce.

Cone Denim Manufacturing Plant
Managua, Nicaragua

The project team provided architecture, engineering and construction management services to Cone Denim's new 650,000 SF textile plant that has a capacity of 28 million yards per year. The project had a 14 month design and construction schedule and provided start-up and commissioning support. The project included conventional steel frames, metal siding with interior vinyl faced insulation to the roof edges and extensive lint collection tunnels and process pits.

Potlach Tissue Manufacturing Facility
North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

The Haskell team provided Potlach with a 60,286 SF tissue machine building and 24,075 SF of roll storage. The overall project took sixteen months from groundbreaking to final completion. The services included complete A/E design, construction project management, foundations and footings, structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication, concrete tilt-wall panel fabrication and erection and management of tissue machine installation and startup.

Tissue Feature Project
CONFIDENTIAL

A large tissue manufacturer needed to integrate cases from two lines in a new department of their existing material handling system. The Haskell team provided equipment, installation, engineering and checkout/commissioning services. This project was the first execution of the manufacturer's initiative to expand product-specific production capability across three sites. The execution was the culmination of a two-year design effort.

Tobacco Feature Project
CONFIDENTIAL

To increase manufacturing efficiency and quality, a leading tobacco manufacturer needed to replace its existing can packing systems that were out of date and borderline unserviceable. The Haskell team delivered a Conceptual Project Plan which included an operational assessment and proposed improvement recommendations. Ultimately, this plan helped the customer increase efficient product output. The cost to manufacture was reduced, which led to increased profits.

Tobacco Feature Project
CONFIDENTIAL

A tobacco manufacturer had just developed a new product, therefore they needed the capability to produce at high speeds while lowering manufacturing costs. Haskell designed a new packaging line to lower costs, enabling the manufacturer to increase market share.
